CFAR Africure Program Coordinator (International Health)
The Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is seeking a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of a specific program under general supervision and direction. The Program Coordinator participates in program development, planning, and implementation. The position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the program and achieving short and long-term program goals. May supervise or oversee operational staff with program responsibilities.Specific Duties & Responsibilities Contribute to goal setting and identify program operational requirements to meet programmatic goals.Obtain and utilize internal and external resources to meet program goals.Serve as primary contact for the program with internal departments and external organizations.Responsible for monitoring budget expenses, processing invoices, performing budget reconciliation, and assisting with budget development.Compile documentation related to funding and finance.Identify and resolve programmatic problems.Assist with planning events and coordinate preparation, set up and logistics for events/ functions.Coordinate communication activities via websites, social media channels, and publication materials as needed.Ensure timely, accurate and appropriate reporting of program activities.Other duties as assigned.In addition to the duties described aboveOrganize a multi-day Africure retreat in Eastern or Southern Africa.Create and disseminate quarterly Africure newsletters that highlight program activities and events, funding opportunities in HIV cure research, and Africure scholar updates.Support completion of sponsor progress reports.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or graduation equivalent.Four years progressively responsible administrative experience.Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education permitted by the JHU equivalency formula beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Public Health.Prior experience organizing meetings in Africa.Prior experience working in Africa.Technical Skills & Expected Level Of Proficiency Budget Management - IntermediateDigital Communications - DevelopingDocumentation and Reporting - DevelopingEvent Planning - IntermediateEvent Coordination - IntermediateFinancial Administration - IntermediateInterpersonal Skills - IntermediateMeeting Coordination - IntermediateOral and Written Communications - IntermediateOrganizational Skills - IntermediateProgram Management - IntermediateResource Management - DevelopingThe core technical skills listed are most essential; additional technical skills may be required based on specific division or department needs.Classified Title: Program CoordinatorJob Posting Title (Working Title): CFAR Africure Program Coordinator (International Health)Role/Level/Range: ATO 37.5/03/OFStarting Salary Range: $21.25 - $36.90 HRLY (Commensurate w/exp.)Employee group: Full TimeSchedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pmFLSA Status: Non-ExemptLocation: RemoteDepartment name: IH - Social and Behavioral InterventionsPersonnel area: School of Public Health
