We are launching a dedicated accelerator program supporting a concentrated portfolio of high-potential companies developing next-generation technologies across national security, aerospace, and dual-use applications under CVL under KFO Family Office. We are seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead our Defense, Space & Security accelerator program and establish CVL’s new frontier fund. This role is responsible for overseeing approximately a dozen portfolio companies under CVL Venture Labs’ Space, Defense & Security program, while managing internal program staff and working closely with Project Managers.This is a leadership role requiring both operational execution and investment judgment. The Managing Director will guide founders, drive portfolio performance, and ensure the accelerator delivers measurable outcomes across growth, partnerships, and capital formation for CVL’s next funding round.CVL:Join CVL Venture Labs in transforming the Defense, Space & Security sectors through our new accelerator program. Backed by a $17 million funding commitment from KFO & CVL Venture Labs, this initiative supports innovative companies at the forefront of technological advancements. As an Investor and also mentor, you’ll oversee strategic investments, guide accelerator initiatives, and participate in pitch events showcasing pioneering solutions in defense, space exploration, and security with DoD alignment.Position:As Managing Director, you will oversee accelerator operations, support strategic investments, and lead program initiatives including cohort development, portfolio reviews, and investor-facing events. You will play a central role in shaping the trajectory of participating companies and the broader accelerator platform.Responsibilities:Oversee Accelerator Program: Lead the structure, execution, and performance of the accelerator program across all portfolio companies.Portfolio Management: Work directly with founders to guide strategy, growth, and operational scaling across ~10–15 companies.Staff Leadership: Manage accelerator staff, including Program Managers and Project/Asset Managers, ensuring strong execution and alignment.Investment Strategy: Support evaluation, selection, and development of investment opportunities aligned with Defense, Space & Security priorities.Mentorship & Guidance: Provide hands-on support to founders, helping them navigate growth, partnerships, and capital strategy.Networking & Partnerships: Leverage industry relationships to create opportunities for portfolio companies across funding, government pathways, and strategic partnerships.Reporting & Analysis: Track portfolio performance and program outcomes, delivering insights and updates to senior leadership.External Representation: Participate in events, demo days, and industry engagements as a representative of Canvy Venture Labs.Qualifications:Proven experience managing or overseeing multiple companies within a venture fund, accelerator, or similar environmentBackground in Defense, Space, Security, or dual-use technology sectors strongly preferredExperience in investment, corporate ventures, or strategic partnershipsStrong leadership and team management capabilitiesAbility to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat We Offer:Competitive salary with performance-based upside and potential equity participationOpportunity to directly influence and scale companies in critical national industriesCollaborative and execution-focused environmentProfessional growth and leadership opportunity within a growing platformFlexible, remote work structureCompetitive benefits
