From routine eye exams and optical retail, to medical optometry, ophthalmology, and surgical procedures, our patients experience end-to-end personalized care and service.We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Audiology Patient Care Coordinator to assist in providing exceptional care to our hearing-impaired patients.RequirementsObjective Summary: The Audiology Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, verifying hearing aid benefits, and obtaining prior authorization for patient services. Additionally, the assistant will perform annual hearing aid checks, in office repairs, coordinate and complete hearing aid repair forms, unboxing of inventory, and other various administrative tasks as instructed by the Director of Audiology.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesHearing aid benefit verification and entry into third party payer portals Prior authorization for devices when necessary using Availity or Insurance Portal sites Supply Inventory upkeep and coordinate with Director for ordering of supplies Counsel patients on hearing aid related issues, expectations, and maintenance Unboxing and assembling orders for Audiologist Answering Voicemails and Incoming calls of existing patients needing assistance Documentation of Assistant Visits Review charts and reach out to providers as needed to verify or validate orders Maintain pt follow up protocol and retention via management of EMR System Basic Diagnostic Testing when warranted and supervised by AudiologistOther Duties as assigned by manager or designee Supervisory ResponsibilityPosition reports to Practice Manager or Designee No direct reportsWorking Conditions And Environmental/Physical DemandsStanding/walking 95% of the day to perform the essential job duties. Full body rotation (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, etc.) Ability to lift at least 20lbs. Communicating with others to exchange information. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. No adverse environmental conditions expected. Position/Type/ Expected Hours Of WorkThis is a full-time onsite hourly position and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. TravelTravel between clinic locations is required and scheduled at the discretion of the clinical managers or designee. QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED Experience working in the Medical Field Experience with EHR Documentation and Medical Records Keeping Audiology Assistant experience is preferred but not required SkillsExcellent customer service skills Strong keyboard and computer skills Ability to organize time and prioritize responsibilities Ability to work quickly and efficiently Attention to detail Proactive and optimistic
