Our goal is to provide shippers with high-performance solutions while fostering an inclusive workplace where drivers can thrive, achieve their goals, and maintain a strong work-life balance.Heavy-Duty Truck Detailer / Preventive Maintenance TechnicianJob Summary:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Truck Detailer / Preventive Maintenance Technician to clean and maintain 18-wheelers while supporting basic preventive maintenance efforts. This role is responsible for thoroughly cleaning both the interior and exterior of semi-trucks and trailers, as well as assisting in routine inspections to help ensure equipment remains safe, compliant, and in good working condition.Key Responsibilities:- Wash and clean the exterior of 18-wheelers, including tractors and trailers- Perform interior detailing, including vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows, and removing debris- Apply cleaning products, waxes, and protectants as needed- Clean wheels, tires, fuel tanks, and undercarriages- Remove grease, oil, bugs, and road grime from trucks- Perform basic preventive maintenance inspections on trucks and trailers- Check fluid levels (oil, coolant, washer fluid, etc.) and report any deficiencies- Inspect tires, lights, brakes (visual), airlines, and general equipment condition- Identify and report leaks, damage, or potential mechanical issues to maintenance staff- Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, wiper blades, and mud flaps- Maintain accurate inspection and service records- Restock cleaning supplies and maintain detailing equipment- Follow all safety procedures and company policies- Maintain a clean and organized work areaRequirements:- Previous detailing, maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred (not required)- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn preventive maintenance procedures- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks- Reliable transportation and punctuality- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:- Experience working with commercial trucks or heavy equipment- Familiarity with DOT inspection standards- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required)Work Environment:- Outdoor and shop-based work environment- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, grease, and varying weather conditions- Fast-paced, physically active roleCompensation & Benefits:- Pay range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)- Opportunities for overtime- Potential for advancement within the companySchedule:- Monday through Friday- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM- Occasional overtime as neededWE OFFERMedical, Dental, Vision - 1st of month after hireEmployee Assistance BenefitEnhanced Benefits (STD, LTD, Critical Care)Paid HolidaysPaid Time Off
