Responsibilities for Business Development Specialist include but are not limited to: Responsibilities for Business Development Specialist Include but are not limited to Digital Partnership Strategy team, detailing responsibilities such as API integration, broker partnership management, reporting automation, complaint handling, contract negotiations, and project management. The role involves working with IT teams and broker IT teams to implement API integrations for enrollment processes, including obtaining API credentials and validating partner integrations end-to-end through regression testing and QA activities. The position requires experience with Power BI and reporting automation, as the team seeks to automate manual commission reporting and data validation processes, ensuring timely and accurate broker payments and reducing discrepancies. This role will handle customer complaints by coordinating with internal resources and brokers, potentially using dashboards to track and resolve issues efficiently at the utility or customer level. The candidate will assist with contract negotiations and compensation schedules, working closely with the legal and regulatory teams to onboard new broker partners and automate status tracking for these processes. The role includes project management responsibilities, such as tracking timelines, coordinating with marketing ops and onboarding teams, and ensuring smooth implementation of new programs and broker onboarding. Candidates for Business Development Specialist must meet the following requirements to be considered Technical requirements for the role, emphasizing knowledge of API integrations, Power BI, business automation, and some familiarity with AI and machine learning, while Kathryn confirmed that developer-level skills are not required and suppliers inquired about ideal candidate backgrounds. This role requires candidates to have experience working with IT teams, supporting API integrations, and performing QA and regression testing to validate partner integrations, but not necessarily developer-level expertise. Power BI and Reporting: Candidates should have familiarity with Power BI for dashboard creation and reporting automation, supporting the analytics team and streamlining manual reporting tasks. AI and Machine Learning: While not a strict requirement, experience with AI and machine learning, particularly in automating workflows and leveraging tools like Microsoft Copilot, would be an asset for the team. The ideal candidate would have a hybrid background, such as a data analyst with project management skills or someone with business automation experience, capable of optimizing manual tasks and managing projects. Role requires two to three years of relevant experience, as stated in the job description, with knowledge of corporate environments and internal process navigation.
