Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.BusinessIntelligence ConsultantAbout TheRole:The BusinessIntelligence Consultant - Advanced Analytics, AI & Automation is responsible for extending the organization's business intelligence capabilities beyond traditional reporting through applied advanced analytics, AI-assisted insights, and intelligent automation.This role owns the "what's next" of BI – prototyping, building, and scaling solutions that reduce manual effort, accelerate insight delivery, and embed intelligence directly into business workflows using modern tools such as LLMs, AI services, and the Microsoft Power Platform.This position is not a data engineering role and not a BI strategy role. It is a solution-oriented analytics role focused on turning emerging capabilities into practical, scalable BI assets in close partnership with BI Strategy, Enablement & Governance and BI Engineering & Data Foundations.WhatYou'll Do:AdvancedAnalytics & Insight DevelopmentDevelop analytical solutions that go beyond standard dashboards (e.g., pattern detection, forecasting, scenario modeling, text analysis)Translate complex data and analytical outputs into actionable, decision-ready insightsIdentify opportunities where analytics can proactively surface risks, opportunities, or anomalies rather than relying on manual reviewAI & LLM EnablementApply AI and LLM capabilities to BI use cases, including:Natural language querying and insight explanationAutomated commentary and narrative generationText classification, summarization, or sentiment analysis (where appropriate)Prototype and iterate on AI-enabled analytics solutions prior to scale or operationalizationPartner with governance and engineering to ensure AI solutions are responsible, secure, and aligned with organizational standardsAutomation & Power Platform SolutionsDesign and build automation solutions using Power Automate to:Reduce manual reporting and data handlingTrigger workflows based on data conditions or thresholdsSupport BI operating cadences and management system routines, develop Power Apps that surface insights, collect inputs, or streamline BI-connected processesIntegrate Power Platform solutions with Power BI datasets and governed enterprise data sourcesBISolution DevelopmentBuild targeted analytical tools, models, and applications that complement enterprise dashboardsCreate reusable components, templates, and accelerators for analytics and automation casesEnsure solutions align with enterprise KPI definitions and governed data modelsContinuous Improvement & InnovationStay current on emerging BI, AI, and automation capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem.Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or enhance existing BI and analytics processes.Experiment responsibly and share learnings with the broader BI team.How ThisRole Works with BI Strategy & EnablementThis role operates in a co-ownership handshake model:AdvancedAnalytics, AI & Automation owns:Applied analytics, AI, and automation solution designPrototyping and proof-of-value developmentTranslating emerging capabilities into usable BI solutionsStrategy, Enablement & Governance owns:Business intent, prioritization, and KPI definitionDecision workflows and adoption expectationsEngineering & Data Foundations owns:Data availability, reliability, and scalabilityPlatform standards and operationalizationCollaboration occurs at:Use case identificationPrototype validationTransition of solutions into supported, scalable asset sWhatYou'll Need:Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data analysis, or related roleExperienced developing analytical solutions beyond standard reporting and dashboardsWorking knowledge of AI and LLM capabilities as applied to analytics and decision-supportExperience prototyping AI-assisted or automation-enabled analytics solutionsHands-on experience with Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into practical solutionsUnderstanding of responsible AI concepts, including data privacy, security, and explainabilityCollaborative, solution-oriented mindset with comfort operating in evolving environmentsSuccess Looks LikeAdvanced analytics and AI-enabled insights are embedded into business workflowsManual analytical effort is reduced through automation and intelligent toolingHigh-value prototypes are successfully transitioned into scalable BI assetsThe BI team delivers proactive insights, not just retrospective reportingCBRE Employee BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, visionDisability benefit program401k company matchingPaid time off and holidaysCompany paid life insurancePet insurancePaid parental leaveWhy CBRE?We invest in our employees' development. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $135,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
