This leadership role requires strong technical proficiency, proven supervisory experience, and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships while helping expand our presence in the region. The ideal candidate will bring both field and office expertise, strategic thinking, and a client-focused mindset, with the capability to oversee staff, manage projects, and represent Isett in professional and municipal settings.ResponsibilitiesThe Operations Manager will support the success of our Surveying Department through responsibilities that include:Preparing proposals and communicating directly with clientsDeveloping and maintaining client relationships; leveraging existing contacts to grow business in the regionConducting project research and reviewing survey data, notes, and sketches for accuracySupervising survey field and office staff, ensuring high-quality work and operational efficiencyPerforming computations for boundary, topographic, as-built, and construction surveysEnsuring all work complies with applicable regulations and industry standardsMonitoring project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveryParticipating in client meetings and attending municipal meetings as neededWorking closely with the Department Head to achieve operational goalsRequirementsProfessional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in PennsylvaniaMD and/or NJ licensure is a plusWe will consider a Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) able to obtain PLS within 6 monthsMinimum 10 years of surveying experience, including 5+ years supervising field and office staffStrong organizational, communication, and technical skillsPrior project and client management experienceProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business CenterBentley MicroStation experience is a plusBroad familiarity with surveying concepts, practices, procedures, and boundary lawAbility to perform a mix of office and field work, including walking long distances, climbing, and working in varied weather and construction environmentsValid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites and meetingsAbility to attend evening meetings when requiredAbility to obtain clearances (PA Act 34, 114, 151) for school-site workWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
