If so, WE NEED YOU!The State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a motivated individual with keen attention to detail to join their Office of Economic Assistance team as the Program Integrity Resource Developer.The DHHS Resource Developer, under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks to include conducting unannounced inspections with child care providers, performing on-site audits, evaluating provider services to ensure compliance with subsidy contracts and state and federal regulations, documenting and reporting findings of investigations, and providing recommendations of service concerns resulting in contract revisions and/or contract termination.“You have the passion; we have the opportunities – let’s make a difference for Nebraskans!”The Program Integrity Resource Developer WillConduct unannounced inspections in child care provider’s homes and center facilitiesApply regulations and policies when conducting inspectionsCalculate billing units on child care provider attendance calendarsCreate reports and report out to administrationProvide subsidy billing training to child care providersHire Rate: $19.045 per hour – Non-ExemptWork Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMDress Attire: Business CasualDriving Required: Travel is required for this position. This position will cover multiple counties across the state.Location: Lexington or KearneyRequirements / QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework/training in social work, sociology, counseling, guidance, psychology, child development or related field and experience in resource development, eligibility determination or contract monitoring within a public service organization. OR Bachelor’s degree in any of the fields listed above.Preferred QualificationsAble to work independently and as a teamGood communication, both written and verbalBasic math skillsExperience with child care subsidy and/or licensingAbility to read, understand and apply regulations and policiesExperiences conducting inspections (i.e. home, child care programs, etc.)Other: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesKnowledge of: the principles and practices of social work; federal and State laws, regulations and guidelines concerning services delivery; the principles of individual and group behavior; the techniques of counseling; community and service organizations.Skill in: interviewing to collect and elicit essential information; communicating to receive and relay information; listening to and understanding information received; using a keyboard.Ability to: learn and apply the methods and procedures of human services resource development; learn and apply agency policies, procedures, programs and philosophy; protect confidential information; interact with community leaders; apply problem solving techniques to a variety of different circumstances; assess customer needs to provide proper services and financial assistance; manage multiple files and records; collect and maintain data and analyze for trends; prepare written case histories and reports.If you're currently employed by the State of Nebraska, please don't apply through this external career site.
