Wide Format Sr. Lead

Then Peczuh Printing wants you to join our crew! Peczuh Printing (pronounced “PZ” printing) is looking for a full-time Wide Format Sr. Lead to start asap! As the Sr. Lead, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the entire Wide Format division, including leading the team and developing best processes and practices for the area. Your team will look to you for guidance and training, as you will be the subject matter expert over everything Wide Format. What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like (Duties and Responsibilities): Leadership and Staffing – Train new staff and coach all staff as needed Establish best efficient practices and procedures, ensuring other Wide Format staff is aware and adhering to them Monitor staff numbers, planning for projects accordingly by reaching out to HR/Staffing agencies for additional help as needed in order to avoid staff shortages Equipment Ownership - Maintain equipment using manufacturers guidelines and own equipment knowledge Maintain color consistency and calibration on all print devices Oversee inventory, including organizing and maintaining levels as necessary to have adequate on-hand product at the ready Scheduling and Project Planning - Plan and schedule work to effectively flow through the shop, minimizing issues and maximizing efficiency as much as possible, ensuring quality and accuracy on each and every job Evaluate job specifications and recommend the correct substrates and assembly for best results Build and maintain substrate profiles using current ripping techniques and technologies What You’ll Need To Succeed (Required): 3-5 years of experience working with Wide Format machines, processes and techniques 1-2 years leading a Wide Format team in a leadership role Ability to organize work and lead/delegate efficiently using all available resources and equipment Able to work in high-pressure environments under tight deadlines, leading the staff in a calm and assured manner Good understanding of Wide Format substrates, both flexible and rigid Able to use multiple different Wide Format RIP technologies and techniques Good understanding of substrate profiling Highly-skilled in running the following equipment: Roll-to-Roll printers UV Flatbed printers Flatbed & Roll-Cutting machines Lamination machines Peczuh Perks (Benefits We Offer): 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance PTO and separate sick time Advancement opportunities Great work environment with supportive management and coworkers The Environment Looks Like: This job operates in a production environment, meaning the employee regularly works near moving equipment.
