On-Site | Hicksville, NYWe’re looking for a high-energy, detail-driven Product Development Assistant to join our growing consumer products team in Hicksville, NY.This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting the development of exciting confectionery, souvenir, and branded consumer products. It’s an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with exposure to product development, marketing, or business operations who wants to learn how products actually go from idea to shelf.Important note: This is not a software development, data science, or technology role.What You’ll DoAs a key supporting member of the Product Development team, you’ll be involved in all pre-production phases, working cross-functionally to help bring new products to market.Core ResponsibilitiesSupport the Product Development team across multiple product lines, including branded and private-label confectioneryAssist with the development of new products and packaging concepts using market data and trend insightsLearn and participate in market research, competitive analysis, sourcing, costing, and pricing recommendationsManage timelines and priorities to ensure product requests are delivered on scheduleCoordinate and fulfill product and packaging sample requests for evaluations, customer meetings, and trade showsAssist in building product cost breakdowns and Bills of Materials (BOMs), including raw materials, components, labor, and other inputsMaintain accurate documentation throughout the development processCollaborate closely with Marketing, Creative, Operations, Quality, and other internal teams to ensure products are vetted and approved for launchCommunicate with domestic and international third-party vendors for product and packaging sourcingSupport marketing and launch materials for new product introductionsRequired QualificationsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related fieldStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProcess-oriented mindset with the ability to follow and improve systemsStrong problem-solving skills with a creative, solutions-focused approachExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skillsPreferred (Not Required)Product Development minor or relevant internship experience1–2 years of experience in Product Development or Product Management within manufacturing or CPGWhy Join Us?Hands-on exposure to the full product development lifecycleOpportunity to work on tangible, consumer-facing productsLearn from experienced product, sourcing, and operations professionalsJoin a well-established, growing Long Island companyStrong foundation role with clear career growth potential
