Job Description SummaryThis role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds.Job DescriptionWork with day old chicksWill be required to collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinationsMust be able to work with live animals and the associated environmentCollect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birdsMust follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security polies and proceduresAbility to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfects, etc.Must perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trainedMust be able to be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environmentMay work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidaysJob QualificationsMust have a Driver LicenseAbility to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple taskAbility to perform work that is repetitive in natureAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wristMust be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbsBend and stoop throughout the shift
