A Brief Overview
The Manager, Transportation & Distribution Analytics provides end-users across the ASICS America supply chain organization with visibility and insight to key indicators, trends, and other business intelligence including but not limited to warehouse operations, inbound & outbound logistics, and inventory planning. The Manager identifies meaningful patterns from complex data sets, analyzes them, and integrates and communicates them through various data visualization and reporting techniques. Analysis will be performed for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms

What You'll Do
Uses data mining, statistics, statistical modeling, machine learning to understand relationships and patterns in data – insights gathered from this analysis are translated to actionable steps and best practices
Build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues
Educate and train clients to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration
Skillfully communicates data, reports, and findings using several media including oral presentation, written reports, charts, graphs, web-based interactive reports, data visualizations. Excellent documentation skills
Collect, organize and analyze operational data to build and manage databases
Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
Provides data that is accurate, congruent, reliable, and ensures the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems. Leads and develops DC Analyst, Business to do the same for its customer base
Adheres to all company policies and procedures
Embodies and demonstrates company ethics and values
Abides by all federal, state and local laws

Skilled at data analysis and able to work through complex details of data formatting, query massaging, and dashboard design
Skilled at going beyond the obvious, delving into the source, the definition, philosophy, and foundational roots of a data element in order to create information
Knowledgeable of how data is turned into information and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes
Strong statistical knowledge, proficiency with a statistical analysis tool such as R preferred
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with messy, human generated data and the patience to deal with it
Must be knowledgeable of the business environment
Able to work well within a team environment
Manual dexterity required: Must be able to use hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other analytic endeavor. M.B.A or M.S. a plus or equivalent work experience. required
0-2 years experience managing direct reports or equivalent training and experience. preferred
4-6 years of business analysis or related technical experience / education required
Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and Visual Basic required
SAP, Manhattan WMS, and Fortna WCS experience preferred
Distribution center and supply chain operations experience preferred
High level of proficiency with Excel and Access required
