A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver transplant call responsibilities • Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts • On-call required: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month • Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience (non-negotiable) • Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment • Experience required in organ transplantation, not just harvesting • 2 years of direct liver/transplant or OR nursing experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) • Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs • Must participate in teaching activities with students and new staff • 40-hour orientation required • EKG and pharmacy test required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each • Must complete time-sensitive modules averaging 6-15 hours (non-billable) • Must be nicotine-free with negative 10-panel plus nicotine drug screen • Work with adult and geriatric patients in 18-room OR with daily census of 55-60 • Use EPIC charting system • Wear ceil blue scrubs • Free parking available Facility: This 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital specializes in complex surgical procedures including organ transplantation.
