ADMISSION LIAISON
Overview:
The Director of Admissions & Marketing works with the administrative, marketing, sales and admissions staff to oversee the coordination of all inquiries, admissions, sales calls, public relations, community events, correspondence and communication with customers at the designated facility shall be in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures established by the company. In addition, builds and grow census and quality mix by developing the market and providing prospective patients/responsible parties with appropriate information and assistance in choosing a nursing center.
Responsibilities:
Maintain records and results on all referral and conversion activity.
Communicate all acute readmissions to Business Development team for follow-up, reach out to patient/family to ensure re-admit to the Center
Collaborate with Business Development team to gather/collect necessary medical and financial documentation to present to internals teams for approval
Conduct tours for prospective patients, families or business affiliates and complete the necessary follow up
Provide all anticipated planned patient admission information to MOD/Supervisor for follow up. Collect follow up report in morning meeting. Communicate necessary information to Business Development team
Complete the required admissions and billing tasks for each patient admission
Ensure that patient and family are appropriately welcomed and oriented to the Center on admission day
Requirements/Qualifications:
Long term care preferred
2 years of experience in an Admissions/Marketing position in healthcare environment.
Long term care experience required
Knowledge of Medicare and 3rd party billing
Ability to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other care givers within facility
