Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Senior Estimator to play a key role in driving preconstruction efforts and securing new business.This is a high-impact position offering visibility with leadership and the opportunity to mentor junior estimators while helping shape overall bidding strategy.Position OverviewThe Senior Estimator will lead full-cycle estimating for commercial drywall and related scopes, from initial review through bid submission and project handoff. This individual will serve as a technical expert, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and strategic alignment on all pursuits.Key ResponsibilitiesLead estimating efforts for commercial drywall scopes including metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, acoustical ceilings, and specialty systemsPerform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop accurate, competitive cost estimatesAnalyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope and identify risksDevelop scope clarifications, exclusions, and value engineering optionsSolicit, level, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricingPrepare and present bid proposals, budgets, and pricing strategiesCollaborate with project managers, executives, and clients throughout preconstructionMentor and support junior estimators, ensuring quality and consistencyMaintain and improve cost databases, historical data, and estimating processesParticipate in post-bid reviews, client presentations, and project handoffsQualifications5+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall or related tradesStrong knowledge of drywall assemblies, metal framing systems, and acoustical ceilingsProven track record of successfully bidding and winning workAdvanced ability to read and interpret construction documentsHigh attention to detail with strong organizational skillsExcellent communication, leadership, and negotiation abilitiesProficiency in Excel and estimating softwarePreferred ExperienceFamiliarity with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar toolsExperience working in high-volume or large-scale commercial environmentsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field xaygatp Work EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with occasional site visits and pre-bid meetingsFast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple concurrent bidsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary + performance-based bonusesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysClear path into senior leadership within estimating or preconstructionWhy This RoleJoin a respected contractor with a strong backlog of workHigh visibility role with leadership and decision-making impactOpportunity to mentor others and influence estimating strategyEqual Opportunity EmployerThis company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected status.
