Fully Remote Associate Attorney

Job Title:Labor & Employment Associate Attorney Location:Fully Remote (Must Be Licensed in California) Experience Level:3+ Years All inquiries are handled on a strictly confidential basis. An established management-side labor & employment practice is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its team. This fully remote opportunity offers the ability to work on a broad range of employment matters while collaborating closely with experienced attorneys in a highly regarded employment practice. The practice focuses on representing employers in both the public and private sectors, handling matters ranging from day-to-day employment counseling and risk management to complex litigation and administrative proceedings. Attorneys in this role will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment disputes while also advising clients on preventative strategies to reduce workplace liability. ResponsibilitiesDefend employers in litigation involving claims such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage & hour violations, and related employment disputes. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research and analysis related to employment law issues. Manage discovery including document review, interrogatories, depositions, and production coordination. Represent employers in administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies. Provide day-to-day counseling to employers on workplace compliance matters including leave laws, accommodations, employee discipline, and workplace investigations. Assist with litigation strategy, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation. Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and risk mitigation strategies. QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing. 3+ years of Labor & Employment law experience at a law firm. Experience defending employers in employment-related disputes is strongly preferred. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Work StructureSalary:Up to $250,000 depending on experience + bonus. Schedule:Fully remote work environment.
