A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - TCU Job Details: • Work in Med/Surg and Transitional Care areas of acute care hospital • Day shift or night shift available • Patient ratio experience of 1:4 required • 1 year of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • Every other weekend requirement • No on-call requirements • Float to Transitional Care Unit within scope to meet facility needs • Guaranteed hours: 8 and 10 hour shifts receive 40 hours weekly, 3 twelve-hour shifts receive 36 hours weekly, 4 twelve-hour shifts receive 48 hours weekly • Block schedule accommodations available upon request • Maximum 5 days RTO allowed; no RTO within first two weeks due to orientation • 36 hours of orientation provided • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; PALS preferred • Compact RN license accepted; pending license accepted • Cerner charting system used; experience preferred • Any color scrubs permitted • Care for diverse patient populations including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Handle medical, orthopedic, podiatry, and general surgery patients • Work with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy • Free parking and free housing available Facility: This acute care hospital provides 24-hour emergency care and full medical and surgical services with 25 staffed beds. The facility features an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility and operates as a Level IV trauma center. The hospital utilizes Cerner charting systems and maintains a low-level ICU along with medical/surgical and transitional care units. As a critical access hospital, the facility serves diverse patient populations and maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support services.
