A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - TCU Job Details: • Work in Med/Surg and Transitional Care areas of acute care hospital • Available for day shift or night shift • Patient ratio experience of 1:4 required • Guaranteed hours: 8 and 10 hour shifts (40 hours weekly), 3 twelve-hour shifts (36 hours weekly), or 4 twelve-hour shifts (48 hours weekly) • Every other weekend requirement • Float to Transitional Care Unit within scope to meet facility needs • 36 hours of orientation provided • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; PALS preferred • 1 year of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • No on-call requirements • Maximum 5 days RTO allowed; no RTO within first two weeks due to orientation • Compact RN license accepted; pending license accepted • Cerner charting system used (experience preferred) • Care for diverse patient population including pediatrics, medical, ortho, podiatry, and general surgery patients • Work with interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams • Any color scrubs acceptable • Free parking available • Free housing available Facility: This acute care hospital provides 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services, and features an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility. The facility is a Level IV trauma center with 25 total staffed beds and maintains a low census of approximately 4 patients daily.
