Location: Newburgh, NY Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM with Flexibility (40hrs) OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, you will support the Caseworker by assisting with client services and day-to-day tasks. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: In this role you will: Function as an assistant to the CaseworkerProvide transportation for clients to medical appointments/Family Court or other appointments deemed necessary by the supervisorAssist caseworkers with transporting of families and supervise visitation between parent and child when such is required by the Orange County Department of Social ServicesPerform a variety of clerical duties while at the job site.QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES: The ideal candidate will have: Valid driver's license is requiredHave good communication skills and the ability to work with families from diverse cultures and backgroundsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to perform the job's essential functions successfully.
