About the Role
The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and managing the organization’s costs to improve financial efficiency and support informed decision-making. This role partners closely with finance and operations to provide accurate cost reporting, identify variances, and drive process improvements that enhance profitability.
What You’ll Do
Lead cost analysis across manufacturing and operations to support profitability and performance goals
Prepare and deliver accurate, timely cost reports, including variance analysis and actionable insights
Partner with operations, supply chain, and procurement to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities
Support month-end close activities, including cost-related journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory analysis
Maintain and enhance standard costing systems, including BOMs, labor routings, and overhead allocations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and increase operational efficiency

Act as a strategic business partner to cross-functional teams
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization
Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities
Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business environment
Uphold strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP
Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CMA preferred; CPA a plus)
7–10 years of progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Experience analyzing manufacturing costs and maintaining accounting systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

Pay range: $88,000 to $110,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
