Join our team at our Minneapolis location in the charming and historic Mill District neighborhood.This is a Sherman Associates owned Hilton franchised location.The Housekeeper is responsible for the operations of cleaning rooms, public space cleaning, laundry production and other related areas of the hotel. Work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to cover days off and train staff, help with scheduling and other duties as assigned.Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends.Essential FunctionsClean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for saleReport, turn in, all lost and found items from guest rooms, and throughout hotelEnter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before enteringReplace dirty linens and towels with clean items, make beds and fold towels, and clean bathroomsReplace guest amenities and supplies in roomRemove trash, dirty linen, and room service itemsCheck that all appliances are present in the room and in working orderStraighten desk items, furniture, and appliancesVacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway)Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishingsOrganize and stock cleaning cart and organize linen closets on floors assignedPerform other duties as requested (i.e. cleaning unexpected spills; executing special guest requests)Report/communicate any maintenance needs found in guest rooms while cleaningAssist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areasAnticipate customer needs with the ability to change goals and direction quicklyMaintains customer service and excellent relations with guests, visitors, vendors and other external or internal organizationsComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasMeet standards for room completion with quality resultsMinimum RequirementsNo prior housekeeping experience requiredRelated hospitality or commercial cleaning experience preferredAbility to communicate effectively and follow directionsMust maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearanceA passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman AssociatesSchedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotelEnsure compliance with brand standards, federal, state and local hotel laws regarding health and safety servicesWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrationThe employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sitesThe noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loudExposure to/handling of biological substances such as blood, urine, and vomitPhysical RequirementsMust be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basisMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basisMust be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200-lbs. on a regular and continuing basisRequires frequent kneeling, squatting, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuityAdditional Screening RequirementsMust successfully meet criminal background screening requirements for position.Compensation And BenefitsPay Range: $17.50/hrWe offer a comprehensive benefits package to part-time employees which may include:Employer-paid short-term disabilityEmployer-paid life insuranceEmployer-paid employee assistance programFully vested 401k company match programStarbucks and Hotel discountsSherman Associates is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
