Job Description
We are intensely passionate about our people and our products and are seeking additions to our team to help build our future. Our team is seeking a Quality Technician that would prepare raw material and final product samples and run a sample through a variety of physical tests. The data obtained is used to characterize/evaluate samples by the Quality Manager and determine using of raw material or approve or rejected the final product.
The Quality Technician operates laboratory equipment, prepares raw materials, performs experimental procedures, records data, and executes planned activities using observation and analytical techniques to determine physical properties at ambient and elevated temperatures.
Preparing raw materials (drying, screening, etc.)
Batching/weighing additives materials
Testing Dryline material samples (mixing, casting, perform a basic test of physical properties, etc.)
Testing Precast line material samples
Testing specimens and recording, analyzing, and reporting data
Measuring Modules and confirming correct hardware
Performing final inspection of all finished products
Maintaining and supporting facility (cleaning, inventory control, etc.) and performing routine scale verification
Supporting the 5S system by identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement as metrics warrant
Requirements:
Requires two (2) years of experience in an industrial environment.
Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Requires interpersonal communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Requires organizational skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
Requires problem-solving skills
Requires efficient management of time and the ability to meet deadlines
Requires the ability to work in a lab environment and to follow safety protocols
