$4,000 Sign-on Bonus Available!Position SummaryA Radiologic Technologist will act under the direction of the Radiologist and Imaging Technical Specialist/Director, performing a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply the prescribed diagnostic imaging equipment for production of high-quality images. The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for their exam, proper positioning of the patient, and correctly operating equipment. The Radiologic Technologist will also promote Aultman Health Systems mission statement, while adhering to system and regulatory requirements.Department SummaryThe department provides diagnostic x-ray imaging services within the health care facility to patients in need.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Radiography Program or equivalent.ODH licenseCertification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Prior experience with Ionizing Radiation generating diagnostic imaging equipment, preferred.General x-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, O-arm, Portables, Dental Etc. As of note, GXMO can only perform General X-Ray, not fluoro, portables, or OR.* Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required* Radiology experience, preferredSkillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilities towards colleagues, patients and visitors.Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills.Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and hospital systems.Detail oriented.Adaptability to changing work environment or needs.Proficient with Microsoft based email and other programs.Department Skills*Responsibilities & ExpectationsPerform radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy.Properly position patients for high image quality.Medical record documentation in HIS and RIS or systems required per department.Review each examination for quality.Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies.Communicate pertinent information to supervisor or responsible individual.Explain exams/procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.Adhere to Aultman policies and procedures.Complete and adhere to knowledge gained through annual employee education.Ability to meet and interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner.No direct reports for this position.Working ConditionsHours may vary as required by job.
