Interview : VideoVisa : GC, GC EAD, H4, L2, OPTThis is hybrid from day-1Description :Role OverviewIndustry: Financial Services (Private Equity / Asset Management / Wealth Management)Location: New York - Hybrid (3-4 days onsite)We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Lead / Tech Lead to drive the technical delivery of a strategic internal platform within the financial services sector. This role supports complex private equity and asset management workflows, requiring strong leadership combined with deep technical expertise. You will lead rapid design-and-build sprints, delivering scalable dashboards and workflows across asset classes, while guiding a globally distributed engineering team and working closely with product, design, and senior stakeholders. This is a hybrid contract role based in New York.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of modular micro-applications using React (non-negotiable)Architect, build, and own backend services using Python (non-negotiable) with Node.jsDesign and implement AWS serverless and containerised services (Lambda, Fargate)Translate complex financial and business requirements into scalable technical solutionsEstablish and enforce engineering best practices across code quality, testing, and deploymentProvide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to a distributed engineering teamIdentify and build reusable frontend and backend componentsMaintain delivery velocity while ensuring secure, resilient infrastructureAct as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external engineering stakeholders Required Experience & Skills (Must-Have)6+ years of full-stack engineering experienceStrong, hands-on experience with React (required)Strong, hands-on experience with Python (required)Experience with Node.jsProven experience leading technical delivery across distributed teamsSolid experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway)Experience working with containerised environments and CI/CD pipelinesExcellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability Mandatory background in Financial Services, specifically: Private EquityAsset ManagementWealth Management Candidates without solid React and Python experience will not be considered. Financial services domain experience is essential.
