CYME Engineer

Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant with our direct client in South Plainfield NJ No Third-Party, No Corp to Corp, No Sponsorship Now, Future or Temporary AuthorizationClient: Utility & Energy Company Title: CYME Engineer Contract Duration: 6 months, with likely extension Location: Hybrid – South Plainfield, NJ (Onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays)Pay Rate: Up to $75/hourMust Have CYME Distribution Modeling Software within the Energy or Utility Industry. We are seeking a skilled CYME Engineer to support the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of electrical distribution system models within the CYME platform. This role is responsible for ensuring model accuracy, supporting engineering analysis, and improving system planning, operations, and reliability through effective data management and user support.Key Responsibilities:Maintain, update, and validate CYME equipment and network modelsIdentify data integrity issues and implement corrective actions to improve model accuracyIntegrate and manage data from GIS, SCADA, AMI, and other enterprise systems within CYMEProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for CYME usersDevelop and maintain user documentation, workflows, and best practices related to CYME modelingSupport engineering teams with distribution system analysis and modeling initiativesPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with CYME distribution modeling softwareStrong understanding of electric distribution systems and utility operationsProven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExperience with Python, SQL, or other scripting/programming languages is a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced utility environmentWork Schedule:Hybrid schedule based out of South Plainfield, NJ, with onsite presence required Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
