Tax Compliance Manager

Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Tax Compliance Manager to support  retirement plan administration and regulatory compliance operations.This role is ideal for a CPA with tax experience who enjoys detailed regulatory research, compliance reporting, and working with retirement plan distribution requirements across multiple states.What You’ll Do• Research and monitor federal and state tax laws related to retirement plan distributions and withholdings• Prepare and file Forms 1099-R accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements• Maintain quarterly withholding reports and required state reporting documentation• Support TPA licensing compliance activities, including account setup and ongoing reporting requirements• Develop procedures for retirement plan withholding processes based on plan type and state regulations• Work closely with the CFO to organize data, review filings, and ensure reporting accuracy• Assist with audits and inquiries from taxing authorities by resolving discrepancies and providing supporting documentation• Track changes to tax and licensing regulations and recommend updates to internal processes• Support additional compliance and reporting activities as neededWhat You’ll Need• Active CPA license required• 2+ years of tax experience within a CPA firm• Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulatory reporting processes• Ability to research and interpret detailed federal and state regulations• Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and time management skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills#IND1
