Apply via Dice today!Data Engineer (AWS, Python, SQL)Location: Durham, NC (Hybrid)Introduction:As a Data Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for extracting critical elements using Python, working with SQL databases, and building brand new solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Your role will involve breaking down on-prem databases and pipelines into the AWS ecosystem while utilizing your data warehouse experience. Strong communication skills are a must to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Responsibilities:Utilize Python to extract critical elements and re-build in new ecosystemWork with SQL databases to manipulate and extract dataBuild new solutions on the AWS platformMigrate on-prem databases and pipelines to AWSUtilize data warehouse experience to optimize data storage and retrievalCollaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand data requirementsCommunicate effectively to ensure project goals are metRequirements:Required Skills:Strong proficiency in Python for data extraction and manipulationExperience working with SQL databasesHands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and best practicesExcellent communication skillsPreferred Skills:Experience with data visualization toolsKnowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or SparkCertifications in AWS or related technologies
