We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic General Manager in our Detroit (DTW) location! With our three business segments, Airline Catering, International Event Catering, Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, we offer gourmet entertainment all over the world. We operate in 33 locations, 12 countries and 3 Continents, maintaining the highest standard of quality in both our products and services. We refine the classics, develop the unknown and grow constantly – sometimes beyond our own expectations.Responsibilities:Provide guidance and support to Section Managers on all internal employee relations matters, maintaining a consistent people-focused approach at all timesEnsure proper staff allocation to maximize efficiency in all departmentsEnsure the effective dispatch of all flights to our customers with accurate specificationsMonitor production departments to ensure that quality is maintained at its highest level with maximum efficiency in accordance with DO & CO regulations Oversee all quality aspects of the operations process to ensure adherence to all relevant Critical Control Points, Health and Safety, Food safety and all legal requirementsBuild and maintain excellent working relationships with all department Heads while simultaneously making sure any problems have an implemented solutionRepresent DO & CO daily with all external and external communicationsEnsure policies and procedures are effectively developed, implemented, and evaluated to promote consistent and compliant applications Ensure compliance with all airlines, Airports, ports and all other applicable rules/regulationsTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessPartner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentationPerform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking; monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand Assess, manage and minimize risks.Qualifications:Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience within food manufacturing and related logistics activities Lead by example with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to delivering exceptional partner serviceStrategic, forward-thinking leader focused on exceeding operational targets while fostering a collaborative, high-performance cultureDemonstrated ability to drive business growth through project management and new business initiativesThrive in fast-paced, guest-focused environments, effectively managing diverse client needs and strict deadlines Flexible to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysProven change champion with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and support impactful transformation initiativesDetail-oriented and data-driven, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage cost optimization effortsSkilled relationship builder who mentors, motivates, and develops high-performing teamsAdaptable decision-maker who navigates change effectively while prioritizing partner and organizational goalsComprehensive operational knowledge with a hands-on approach to continuous improvement.Previous experience in a similar role or experience within airside, aviation or FMCGProficient computer skills (Particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Bachelor’s degree in business or any relevant field preferred.What We Offer:Competitive Pay Daily Complimentary Meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).FT employees are eligible for 401K and medical benefits: medical, dental, and vision.An organization dedicated to fostering innovation; in pursuit of cultivating creativity, embracing new ideas and leveraging our impeccable standard for hospitality.Genuine career development opportunities, both nationally and internationally.The chance to collaborate and represent a leading force in the luxury global gourmet entertainment industry by attending world-class events.Diversity & Inclusion StatementDO & CO provides equal employment opportunities.
