Systems Application Engineer III

Overview As a senior technical resource in Integrated Automation for logistics, you will lead and support advanced automation solutions across scanning, vision, RFID, dimensioning and weighing. You will steer technical strategy, customer engagement, and end-to-end project execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex application challenges. You’ll drive proof-of-concept demos, optimization, and knowledge sharing while guiding customers from discovery to deployment. This role offers impact through shaping scalable automation for logistics operations and contributing to market-leading solutions. ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for Track & Trace, Vision, RFID, Dimensioning, Weighing, and Automation solutionsServe as technical lead on strategic customer opportunities and initiativesDevelop proof-of-concept demos and advanced testingLead root-cause analysis for field issues and optimize system performanceGuide network architecture, data communications, and software integrationSupport customer discovery meetings and technical design reviewsAdvise on optimized solutions and assist sales with technical consultationsEvaluate competitive technologies and identify new business opportunitiesDefine product gaps and collaborate on future requirementsContribute to standardized solutions and reusable templatesLead design reviews, requirements, and acceptance criteriaPrepare customer documentation, test plans, installation guidelines, and training materialsSupport onsite deployments and escalationsMentor Application Engineers and lead training programsEstablish best practices for troubleshooting and customer supportDrive continuous improvement across engineering processesCarry out other duties as assigned Key requirements8+ years in industrial automation, systems or application engineering5+ years in logistics automation or related industrial controlsProject leadership experienceExperience defining system architecture and communication interfacesExperience supporting key industry logistics customersTechnical training and mentoring experienceleadershipcommunicationcustomer collaborationBarcode and Auto-ID technologiesRFID systemsMachine Vision and OCR/ICR
