As a global manufacturing leader serving healthcare, consumer packaging, and specialty industrial markets, we are continually investing in advanced manufacturing technologies that improve performance, quality, and scalability across our global operations.We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead the development, procurement, implementation, and optimization of complex automation systems across our worldwide manufacturing footprint.This is a highly visible technical leadership role with direct impact on operational excellence, automation strategy, and manufacturing innovation on a global scale.Responsibilities/DutiesGlobal Automation LeadershipLead procurement and design oversight of complex automation systems to ensure seamless integration and operational efficiencyServe as the primary technical leader for automation projects involving customers, suppliers, and internal operations teamsCollaborate with manufacturing sites, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teamsProject Execution & ValidationOversee installation, startup, qualification, and validation activities for automation systemsDevelop and manage technical documentation including:IQ/OQ/PQ protocolsURS documentationValidation specificationsPreventive maintenance proceduresWork instructionsTechnical Engineering & Continuous ImprovementConduct technical feasibility studies for assembly, automation, and decoration processesTroubleshoot and improve new and existing automation systemsDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, efficiency, and performance optimizationDevelop and maintain General Delivery Specifications for automation equipmentTeam Development & CollaborationMentor and coach Automation Engineers and technical team membersWork effectively with stakeholders ranging from floor-level technicians to executive leadershipCoordinate automation activities with global suppliers and external partnersOperational SupportSupport production startups related to automation equipmentManage construction and project timelines to meet qualification milestones and production demandsQualify new automation vendors globallyRequired Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience10+ yrs of experience as an Automation Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or similar technical roleAdvanced Knowledge of: Automation systems, Injection Molding operations, Part design & CAD, Manufacturing processes and Computer and control systemsStrong mechanical and electrical aptitudeExperience with scientific molding processes, DOE methodologies, and statistical analysisStrong technical writing skills for validation and engineering documentationAbility to lead complex technical projects independentlyStrong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse global teamsProven ability to collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all organizational levelsTravelUp to 40% global travel required to support automation projects across Technimark’s worldwide operationsTechnimark is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
