Overview As Lead System Engineer, you will define and drive system requirements, architectures, and solutions across AWS cloud platforms. You’ll lead engineering initiatives, manage risk, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable cloud-based systems. You will mentor engineers, optimize operations, and push modern, cloud-native design patterns. This role offers impact in cloud transformation and automation, with a hands-on focus on delivering robust, scalable infrastructure. ResponsibilitiesDefine and manage system engineering plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, and performance goalsDevelop and implement risk management, mitigation, disaster recovery, and opportunity plansOversee planning, design, and execution of system engineering projectsLead systems engineering efforts, driving end-to-end lifecycle of services from design to deploymentImplement preventive techniques, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root-cause analysisCollaborate with customers and stakeholders to capture requirements and ensure reliable systemsMentor junior and senior team membersInstall, tune, upgrade, and maintain Linux-based systems and cloud infrastructureExpand engineering knowledge through continuous learning and professional networks Key requirementsMinimum 10 years in IT with at least 5 years in AWS Cloud Platform engineering and administration3–5 years in a Site Reliability Engineering role with SRE principles experienceHands-on experience with containerization (Kubernetes) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)Proficiency with DevOps toolchain (Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket) and CI/CD practicesStrong Python development and software engineering lifecycle knowledge (Build, Integrate, Test, Release, Deploy)Extensive AWS services experience (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, EKS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.) and automation with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CDKCurrent AWS certification (or higher) requiredLinux system administration and scripting (Bash)Ability to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teamsWillingness to learn new AWS services and technologiesStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teamsMentoring and leadership capabilitiesAWS cloud services (VPC, Direct Connect, Subnets, NACLs, Security Groups, EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, Lambda, CloudWatch, EKS)Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, CDKKubernetes (EKS/ECS) and containerization
