Sotheby's believes in the transformative power of art and culture and is committed to making our industries more inclusive, sustainable and collaborative.To manage exceptional post sale client service for a portfolio of sale(s): to oversee and to provide ownership for all post sale activities from the auction through to payment and shipping or collection on behalf of all internal and external clients.Assist buyers and sellers through the post-sale process:Ensure post-auction process and service level agreements (SLAs) are delivered in a timely and professional mannerFacilitate and process post sale transactions, including but not limited to invoicing, payments, post auction sales and seller property returnsIssue timely and accurate client communicationsWork with Shipping Coordinator to organize shipping quotes and deliveriesWork with Logistics team to manage client shippersEnsure financial transactions comply with corporate governancePartner with other business areas to respond to client inquiries, resolve client issues and execute client transactions to ensure the highest level of client satisfactionWork with the Specialist departments to action and follow up on shipping and collection recommendations for unsold propertyGeneral:Facilitate temporary releases of purchases for 3rd party servicesManage property releases for non-sale inventoryParticipate in project work as requested by Head of DepartmentIdeal experience and competencies:Excellent client service skills, with demonstrated capability in active listening, empathy, service recovery and patienceCalm demeanor, especially under pressureGood numeracy skills. Experience with basic bookkeeping is an advantageWell presented with a friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming dispositionExceptional oral and written communication skillsLogical and practical thinking, with excellent resourcefulness and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills and follow throughHighest standard of confidentiality, discretion and work ethicAbility to work both independently and on a teamMulti-lingual skills a plusPrior experience with SAP is desirableThis is a 12 month temporary positionThe hourly rate for this position is $24.00/hr plus overtime.
