Java Full Stack Developer

*Job Description:* * The IT Application Development Solutions (ADS) team develops, maintains, and supports the operation of many (in-house) Java Enterprise Edition applications and COTS products to support the organization’s day-to-day operations. * A new consultant will join the ADS team to analyze, develop, maintain applications, and troubleshoot production issues as a developer. *Duties / Responsibilities:* 1. Develop and maintain JEE applications. 2. Modernize legacy applications. 3. Provides operational support for existing applications. 4. Prepares detailed software specifications and test plans. 5. Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams, Platform, DBA, Network, Security, Help Desk,Change Management, etc. 6. Collaborate with QA team to support application QA and UAT 7. Support system patching, DR exercises, etc. *Preferred Experience/Qualification/Knowledge Skills:* * *Education: *Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. * *General Experience: *• 8+ years of hands-on full stack development experience. * • Experience with enterprise-level application development and microservice architecture / development experience. * • Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with frameworks such as CDI/Spring Framework and JPA. * • Experience using relational database systems. * • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * • Excellent communication skills. * • Quick to learn and adapt. * *Specialized Experience: *8+ years’ experience in application and web systems development using the following: * • Java (Proficient in using Functional Interfaces and Lambdas). * • Java EE (CDI, JSF/ORM, and JPA) or Spring Framework. * • SOAP and/or REST API developments. * • Frontend technologies - CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, RactJS, NodeJS, and HTML. * • SQL, PL/SQL, Database Design, Oracle and/or SQL Server database servers. * • IBM Rational Application Developer or Eclipse. * • Maven and CI/CD. * • IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic. * • Design Patterns. *Please submit your resume in word format.* Job Type: Contract Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * application and web systems development: 9 years (Required) * full stack development: 9 years (Required) * Java EE (CDI, JSF/ORM, and JPA) / Spring Framework.: 9 years (Required) * Design patterns , Maven and CI/CD.: 9 years (Required) * IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic.: 9 years (Required) * CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, RactJS, NodeJS, & HTML.: 9 years (Required) * SOAP and/or REST API developments.: 9 years (Required) * SQL, PL/SQL, Database Design, Oracle & / SQL Server: 9 years (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Laurel, MD 20723
