We prioritize speed, accuracy, and operational reliability in every project.Position SummaryOn Energy Storage is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support the construction and commissioning of a utility-scale BESS project in Amarillo, TX. This is a full-time, on-site role embedded within the project team. The Field Engineer will serve as the primary technical resource for the EPC contractor and commissioning teams, providing real-time electrical and mechanical guidance, resolving field issues, and ensuring that installation activities align with On Energy Storage's engineering standards, design documents, and applicable codes. The ideal candidate brings a strong electrical engineering background with hands-on experience supporting field construction and commissioning activities on power systems or energy storage projects.Key Responsibilities Serve as the on-site technical point of contact for the EPC contractor. Interpret engineering drawings and support field installation teams. Review and resolve RFIs with the engineering team. Monitor installation for compliance with design and codes. Identify and resolve field discrepancies. Document and share lessons learned on equipment being installed. Support FAT and SAT activities. Maintain field reports and documentation. Coordinate with engineering and EPC teams. Participate in meetings and safety reviews. Verify equipment installation compliance. Support punch list and project closeout.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of electrical systems. Ability to read electrical drawings. Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA. Troubleshooting and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore. Ability to work on-site in Amarillo, TX.Preferred Qualifications Experience with BESS systems. EPC or infrastructure project experience. Commissioning and QA/QC familiarity. Bluebeam experience. SCADA/EMS exposure.
