Job#: 3039812 Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator Location: Littleton, CO (Onsite) Contract Length: 6-12 months with option to extend Requirements Candidates must obtain or maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance as a condition of employment. Security+ Certification. Overview As the Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of program operations and non‐operations Oracle databases. Your duties include facilitating database creation, tuning, monitoring security, performance, and utilization, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and developing scripts, tools, and utilities to maintain operational credibility. You will implement database security in compliance with client policies and translate those policies into database settings. Responsibilities Lead all efforts related to the design, maintenance, and administration of multiple classified database technologies. Recommend and implement new database solutions, products, and standards to support program goals and operations. Evaluate, install, and test DBMS upgrades and patches for database management systems and related software. Collaborate with system administrators for hardware and software installations and configurations, and recommend appropriate resources for databases. Support program requests for data copies across environments, data cleanup, query tuning, and more. Support projects and initiatives related to data acquisition, processing, and utilization through a Big Data Platform. Work with end users to identify and resolve issues. Analyze current business practices and identify future opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval systems. Participate in 24/7 on‐call support as needed. Basic Skills Strong experience administering Oracle database technologies. Strong experience with Oracle products. Experience applying security patches and upgrades. Experience addressing database outages. Experience maintaining SQL databases. Desired Skills Oracle DB Certification. Oracle RAC experience. Oracle RMAN experience. Familiarity with Redis or other key-value stores. Familiarity with Java database interfaces (JDBC, Hibernate). Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience maintaining high availability production databases. Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible). Experience with database architecture and design. Familiarity with migrating on‐prem databases to a cloud. Experience with tuning and optimizing databases and queries. Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket). Strong troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated Agile Development methodology experience. Proven experience with database performance tuning techniques. Understanding of Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies such as ICD 503. Experience with database scripting languages. Experience with general scripting languages.
