The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the credit risk management function, including the design, execution, and communication of credit-related policies, and will be expected to develop strategies that contribute to the growth of the loan portfolio.Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should be prepared to take on a wide range of responsibilities. These include overseeing credit underwriting, loan documentation, and the credit approval process, as well as maintaining the bank's credit culture across various lending units. The role also requires the formulation and approval of lending policies, and the management of the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance or a related field, with a preference for those with over ten years of experience in commercial, SBA, and consumer lending, underwriting, and credit administration. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to cross-sell the bank's products and services.
