CNC Machine Operator

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionSetup and operate Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) mills. Primarily responsible for setting up and operating equipment with some programming in Mastercam, program editing, and offsetting on a variety of parts. Responsible for meeting dimensional requirements.Responsibilities Not Limited ToSet up and operate Haas CNC mills; load programs, install tooling, and fixture partsPerform light Mastercam programming, program editing, and offset adjustmentsReview prints, work orders, travelers, and setup sheetsModify speeds, feeds, and G-code to meet print requirementsInspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height/thread gages)Troubleshoot machining issues; adjust tool/work offsets, feeds, and spindle speedsOptimize tooling and programs for efficiencyComplete required inspection and work order documentationRequirements3+ years’ experience setting up and operating Haas CNC millsProficient in Mastercam programmingAbility to read blueprints, work orders, and G & M codes; set tooling and work offsetsSkilled in calculating and adjusting machining parameters (speed, feed, coolant, depth, angle)Physical RequirementsProlonged standing and fine motor skillsOccasional bending/twisting and lifting up to 50 lbsVisual acuity to identify product defectsAt VMC Group we believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
