Data Scientist, Prime Video Sports ScienceWe are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Prime Video team in Israel, focusing on personalizing customer experiences through Search and Recommendations. Our team leverages Machine Learning (ML) to deliver tailored content discovery, helping millions of customers find the entertainment they love. You will work on large-scale experimentation, measurement frameworks, and data-driven decision-making that directly shapes how customers interact with Prime Video.Key job responsibilitiesDesign metrics frameworks and evaluation systems to measure the quality, performance, and reliability of algorithmic solutionsLead the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests to validate product hypotheses and quantify customer impactCommunicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders, driving data-informed decisionsPartner with Applied Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to define requirements, evaluate models, and drive data-informed product decisionsAct as the subject matter expert for data structures, metrics definitions, and analytical best practicesIdentify opportunities for improving customer experience through deep-dive analyses of user behavior and algorithm performanceBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree or above in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer scienceExperience using analytics to solve product or business problemsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Python for data analysis and machine learningExperience with Redshift, SparkSQL, AthenaExperience designing and evaluating A/B tests in a product environmentExperience with statistical modeling and causal inference methodsExperience in a Data Science role with a large technology companyFamiliarity with recommendation systems or search technologiesOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
