For Sr. level: One year of Central Sterile Processing experience required OR Graduate of an accredited surgical technician/sterile processing program with 1 year in Central Sterile Processing. Instrumentation and Equipment Specialized Knowledge. Must complete 10 hours of continuing education to remain qualified as a Central Sterile Technician on an annual basis. Must be able to stand for all shift hours and be able to pick up, push, pull etc. 35 pounds. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or Certified Registered Central Service Technician with Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Certification required in our PA and NY facilities (MD is excluded) within 18 months of hire. Staff employed prior to December 28, 2020 are grandfathered and do not need to obtain the certification.Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician with Healthcare Sterile Processing Association required at the time of hire for Sr. level techs.
