Structural Designer

Job Title: Structural DesignerLocation: Company Headquarters is in San Antonio, Texas (Garden Ridge Area), but this position is flexible to Work From Home depending on skill and experience levels.Job Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:We are looking for a detail-oriented Structural Designer to support our engineering team in developing accurate, high-quality structural drawings and models. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning engineering concepts into clear, buildable plans and working collaboratively across disciplines.Key Responsibilities:Create and revise structural drawings, plans, and 3D models for a variety of projects Assist engineers with design development, calculations, and documentation Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, and details Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) Maintain organized project files and documentation Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field 2+ years of experience in structural drafting/design Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other design software Understanding of structural systems, materials, and construction methods Familiarity with building codes and industry standards Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications:Experience working on commercial or industrial projects Knowledge of BIM processes and workflows Ability to interpret engineering calculations and sketches What We Offer:Competitive salary based on experience Health Insurance IRA with company match Paid time off and holidays Flexible work environment Opportunities for career growth and skill development How to Apply: Please submit your resume and a portfolio of relevant work (if available).
