About the Role:
Proxify is looking for a Senior Backend Developer specializing in Node.js and Nest.js to join its global developer network. In this role, you will build secure, scalable backend applications and work with other developers and designers to deliver reliable web applications and features. This is a long-term, full-time remote position offering opportunities to work on projects with companies across different industries. Applicants must be located within the Central European Time (CET) zone or within three hours of it.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure backend applications using Node.js and Nest.js.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and microservices.
Improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Integrate relational and NoSQL databases with backend applications.
Connect applications with external services through APIs.
Maintain code quality and follow security and industry compliance standards.
Collaborate with backend developers and designers to deliver effective web application experiences.
Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience with Node.js.
At least 3 years of experience with Nest.js.
Strong knowledge of Node.js and Nest.js frameworks.
Proven experience building REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT and OAuth 2.0.Experience with unit and integration testing tools such as Jest or Mocha.
Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
Location within the CET time zone, with a maximum difference of three hours. Applications from candidates outside this time-zone range cannot be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Understanding of event-driven architecture and message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.
