Sr. Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (DevOps)

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (DevOps) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.This leader will guide a high-performing technical team responsible for reliability, automation, and operational excellence across critical DevOps capabilities. The role blends hands-on technical engagement with people leadership, ensuring deployment practices, infrastructure automation, and incident-driven improvements support business performance. You will partner closely with cross-functional technology teams to strengthen resiliency, scale operational services, and advance modern engineering practices.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $150,000 – $170,000 annuallyResponsibilities Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, overseeing performance and development Engage hands-on with critical technical tasks to model team standards Translate DevOps strategy into actionable team plans and practices Manage operational services for CI/CD, deployment automation, and other DevOps tools Drive the use of Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices across teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance deployment reliability and operational resilience Utilize metrics and feedback to improve team performance and service qualityQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related technology roles 2+ years of experience in a leadership position managing technical teams Practical knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud services Strong communication skills to explain technical issues in business termsBenefits Career development opportunities through performance feedback and workload planning Hands-on technical engagement with critical projects Collaboration with diverse technical teams and projects Involvement in incident reviews and operational improvement initiativesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
