State Licensed Commercial Counsel
Serving as the primary lawyer responsible for all US commercial matters, the full-time State Licensed Commercial Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements while working remotely and collaborating cross-functionally to address legal risks and disputes.
Key responsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS, vendor, and partnership agreements
Act as lead counsel on strategic deals and compliance issues, working closely with the business
Resolve commercial disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigationRequired qualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one US state
4-7 years of relevant experience as a commercial lawyer, with in-house legal experience required
In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and corporate law
Proven negotiation skills and a track record of successfully closing commercial deals
Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment, preferably within a startup technology company
