SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join an Iowa-based client. This person will oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of their SQL databases.This role is hybrid - 80% remote. 4 days/week remote, 1 day/week onsite.Key Responsibilities:Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and security.Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and scalability assessments.Collaborate with developers, offering technical guidance and liaising on database-related tasks.Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions using data-driven insights.Preferred Qualifications:Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator or in a similar role.Ability to develop and maintain reports and dashboards.Strong problem-solving and communication skills to work across departments.Nice-to-Have: Experience with development on the database side or web development-related knowledge.What We Offer:This position is ideal for someone seeking to grow into a versatile role, with a focus on database administration and exposure to development tasks in the future.
