This is a one-year coaching appointment. The assistant coach will support the head coach in all aspects of program development, player growth, and daily team operations while upholding the values and standards of Ellington High School Athletics.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and conducting daily practices and game preparationSupport skill development, conditioning, and tactical instructionHelp foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team culturePromote sportsmanship and adherence to CIAC and EHS policiesAssist with game management, scouting, and player evaluationSupervise student-athletes during practices, contests, and team travelCommunicate effectively with athletes, families, and school personnelSupport off-season development as appropriateMaintain current certifications and coaching requirementsQualificationsPrior lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience preferredKnowledge of high school girls lacrosse rules and strategyAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsCommitment to student-athlete development and leadership
