PRN Physiatrist

Job Description Join Our Team as a PRN MD or DO PhysiatristOur organization is currently looking for a PRN MD or DO Physiatrist to offer weekend inpatient coverage for a 20-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit within our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) service line. This position is dedicated to providing thorough medical care to patients undergoing rehabilitation, which includes tasks such as rounding, admissions, discharges, and consultative services.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver in-person medical care for patients in the 20-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.Conduct weekend rounds on both Saturday and Sunday.Perform history and physical examinations for new patient admissions.Complete evaluations and documentation for patient discharges.Provide inpatient rehabilitation consultations as required.Review and evaluate external referrals for potential admissions using the electronic medical record.Manage both acute and chronic medical conditions throughout the rehabilitation process.Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.ScheduleThis is a PRN weekend position.In-person coverage is required on both Saturday and Sunday when scheduled.Potential for holiday coverage if assigned.Expected availability is approximately one weekend per month.Minimum QualificationsMD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license (or the ability to obtain one).Proven clinical experience beyond residency training.Previous experience in an inpatient rehabilitation environment.Capability to independently manage patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.We are eager to connect with qualified candidates who are interested in joining our collaborative environment, where patient care is our top priority.
