Job#: 3033384Job Description:Senior Project Manager (Transportation Technology / ITS)Location: Remote - Must reside in the Greater Nashville, TN area (within ~2 hours)Travel: Onsite presence required 1-3 days per week at client locationsOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology and infrastructure projects supporting transportation systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, enjoys managing multi-phase initiatives, and can effectively partner with both technical teams and external stakeholders.While this is a remote position, candidates must be located within the Nashville region to support regular onsite collaboration with clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead one or more project teams to successfully deliver assigned programs on time, within scope, and on budgetOwn full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and deliveryManage project financials, schedules, risks, and quality measuresDefine and maintain project scope aligned with contractual requirements, including change managementDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgetsIdentify, track, and mitigate project risks through proactive planningEnsure all deliverables meet quality standards and documentation requirementsFacilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and track team progressCoordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, testing, and business teamsLead requirements gathering, design coordination, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activitiesServe as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and collaborative relationshipsConduct client meetings, provide project updates, and ensure alignment on deliverablesIdentify opportunities for additional services or enhancements and partner with business stakeholdersSupport proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and contract developmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Transportation, Electrical), Computer Science, or related field5+ years of experience managing full lifecycle IT or technology projectsExperience working in Agile environments (Scrum preferred)Background in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) or infrastructure-related technology projects is highly preferredStrong experience managing budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with ITIL or operational management frameworks is a plusPMP certification required; Scrum certification (CSM) preferredExcellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to lead teams and navigate complex delivery environmentsPreferred ExperienceExposure to transportation, traffic systems, or public-sector technology programsExperience supporting proposals, client presentations, and business development effortsTechnical background or familiarity with software development and system integrationsWhat You'll GetOpportunity to lead impactful projects that improve public infrastructure and mobilityCollaborative, cross-functional environment with strong client engagementCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageFlexible remote work model with meaningful onsite collaborationEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
