Junior Accountant

Job Summary PH Financial Services, LLC is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Junior Accountant to join our expanding accounting team. The Junior Accountant will provide essential support to the accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with month-end closing processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong foundation in accounting principles, high proficiency in MS Excel, and a desire to grow within the organization.  Duties and ResponsibilitiesDaily Transaction Recording: Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.Accounts Payable: Maintain AP aging reports ensure timely payment of vendor invoices.Reconciliations: Perform daily/monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to resolve discrepancies.Month-End Close: Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations.Compliance & Audit: Support internal and external audit processes by gathering supporting documentation.Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing tax returns for 1099s and personal property compliance with regulations. Requirements and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: 0–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.Technical Skills:Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).Familiarity with accounting software such as Microsoft Business Central.Soft Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Good organizational and time-management abilities to meet tight deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills.BenefitsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLong-Term Disability and Life Insurance401(k) with company contribution of 3% of pay, plus optional employee contributionsPaid Time Off (PTO)10 paid holidays, plus an additional paid day for your birthdayEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)
