In-home Caregiver for Individual with Special Needs

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver/Personal Assistant to support a young man with an intellectual disability in northern Kentucky. The ideal candidate is someone who is caring and energetic with a positive attitude. This individual enjoys participating in activities such as basketball, swimming, computer gaming, and riding scooters. As a Personal Assistant, you will play an important role in helping this young man live more independently by assisting with daily tasks that he may not be able to complete on his own. This position is full time, 20-37 hours a week. First, second and third shifts are available Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Pay starts at $26 an hour for Personal Assistant Care; $21 an hour for Respite (Overnight) Care with the opportunity for a raise at 6 months. Ideal candidates will have: Previous caregiving or medical experience A valid driver's license Reliable vehicle with auto insurance Ability to pass a drug screening and background checks Employee will be required to complete a yearly TB screening, pass a background check, and submit other various documents to remain eligible as per Medicaid guidelines.
