They need someone who can build and elevate accounting operations.If you are an experienced U.S. accounting leader ready to step into a high-trust, high-impact Controller role — this opportunity is built for you.Why This Role MattersYou won’t just be managing the books.You will serve as a strategic finance partner to U.S. executives — ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening GAAP compliance, improving reporting discipline, and leading accounting teams toward operational excellence.This is a leadership role for professionals who want:• Long-term career stability• Direct exposure to U.S. executives and founders• Ownership of accounting operations• Structured collaboration with high standards• A permanent remote-first career pathWhat You’ll DoFinancial Reporting & GAAP Oversight• Lead and review month-end close processes across engagements• Ensure accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial statements• Apply U.S. GAAP to increasingly complex accounting areas• Research and resolve technical accounting issues with proper documentation• Strengthen internal controls, workflows, and financial reporting structureTeam Leadership & Quality Control• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members• Delegate work, monitor timelines, and ensure quality standards• Provide structured feedback and performance guidance• Improve documentation standards and review processes• Support onboarding and serve as a technical resourceClient & Executive Partnership• Present financial results and insights to U.S. leadership teams• Translate financial data into clear business recommendations• Manage expectations, deadlines, and proactive communication• Identify risks, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions• Support year-round financial clarity and planning discussionsOperational & Strategic Finance Support• Improve processes, automation, and reporting workflows• Manage schedules and workflow across multiple engagements• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning• Assist in special projects (system migrations, cleanups, audit support)• Drive continuous improvement in accounting deliveryWhat We’re Looking For• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• 5+ years of U.S. accounting experience with leadership responsibilities• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards• Experience reviewing month-end close and financial statements• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency• Cloud accounting experience (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar)• Excellent written and verbal English communication• Strong documentation and problem-solving discipline• Willingness to work night shift aligned with U.S. time zonesNice to Have• CPA, CMA, or equivalent senior-level experience• Experience in construction, nonprofit, government contracting, or project accounting• Experience leading distributed or remote teams• Systems implementation or automation experienceWhat Makes CAS Different✔️We are not a gig platform.✔️We are not a freelance marketplace.✔️We are not short-term staffing.✔️We invest in professionals who want to build a real career serving global firms.At CAS, you get:Competitive monthly compensation paid in USDPermanent work-from-home setupBrand-new equipment provided (laptop, monitor, accessories)15 days Paid Time Off annuallyPhilippine holidays offLong-term client alignment and structured supportContract Status & ExclusivityThis is a full-time independent contractor role.Exclusive commitment is required — no other part-time or freelance work once hired.Conflict-of-interest checks may apply.
